Children

Since the Apostle Paul taught that the children of believers are holy before the Lord (I Corinthians 7:14) we encourage parents to have their children participate in the first 15-20 minutes of our worship service.  After this children (up to age 5) are permitted to go to the nursery.  This practice introduces our children to the basic elements of corporate worship: singing, prayer, Scripture readings, and responsive readings.  Check out this helpful article that summarizes our approach to children in worship.

Please know that we also offer Christian Education classes for all ages beginning the first Sunday after Labor Day and running until the Sunday before Memorial Day.  Those classes meet at 11:00 AM.  In the summertime we conduct a CE program for all ages that also meet at 11:00 AM.  Often these sessions are supplemented with learning the Westminster Shorter Catechism.

Children who wish to take Communion must be baptized and profess their faith before the elders before they will be allowed to partake of this sacrament.
